For Halloween Art we are making witches. They are made from black bags, newspapers, old clothes (black), balloons, masks, bamboo sticks, twigs and many other recyclable materials. We have had great fun making them and the room is getting spookier by the day!
Five boys from Mr. Minnocks sixth class took part in a U13 final on Sunday against Moorefield. The boys were Shane Quigley, Alan Lawlor, Ciarán Kirwan, Dara Flynn and Andrew McNiffe. At half time Celbridge were four points up. It was a very rough match. We got a penalty at the end of the match which James Dolan put the ball over the bar making us on top with 1 minute to go. But Celbridge came out on top in the end, winning by one point. After the match the team were presented the cup and went back to the club house to enjoy pizza and food.
By Alan Lawlor and Shane Quigley In this weeks art lessons with Sharon and Rachel we used Pastels. We learned about Edgar Degas the famous French artist and how he liked to use pastels. We completed 2 pieces of art using pastels one of the Northern Lights and the other Flowers in a Jug.

The Cup Song has taken the world by storm in recent years. Mr Carney has brought it into our world teaching it to us. It has taken us a while but we are getting better. The youtube clip above has helped us to learn it and we will get better. We might even perform the song in front of an audience in November during Music Week in the school.
We have been practicing Gaelic Football over the past few weeks. One of the most exciting aspects of it has been Indoor Gaelic Football games which Mr. Carney has started with us. We can Kick or handpass the ball against the backboard of the Basketball posts to score. Kicking is like a goal and is worth 3 points. Handpassing against the backboard is worth 1 point. Mr Minnock has said we will continue to play the game throughout the winter with a 6th class league at break times.
Last week we were asked to draw the numbers for the school Lotto draw. The numbers drawn were 1, 4, 19, and 25
