Good Morning Boys, It's the last week of school for you all. Well done on the great effort during Sports Week and particularly on Sports Day. Your graduation will take place on Wednesday and Mr Heffernan will send details to your parents. For the last week I have a number of activities / challenges in the file below that require you to design and make a number of items. Try one a day to see how you get on. There are many challenges you can choose from. Try one a day if it suits. Take a picture of the finished creation and email it. I will put them all on the website at the end.
Morning boys. This week we are preparing for Sports Day on Friday. We have 12 activities / challenges lined up to take part in. Everything is explained in the video above.
Practice for the sports day takes place Monday to Thursday with the Sports Day itself taking place on Friday. If you have younger brothers make sure to help them. Also get the whole family involved, challenge Mams, Dads, brothers, sisters to get involved and see if they can beat your score. Our class are all on the red team to take on the white team. Later in the week I will post a form here on the blog to record your scores on Sports Day. Best of luck men and enjoy the challenges. Well done to everyone who has sent in Art Activities this week. Friday the final day so lots of time to get some art work in. I've had a sneak preview of what you guys have been doing to recreate some classic pics. Above is a classic recreation of Bruce Willis in Die Hard 2 by Dean. Well done Dean. A video will be put together showing all the pictures sent in by boys from all classes.
Next week will be Sports Week with preparation for a big whole school Virtual Sports Day on Friday (see below). Details will be sent to your parents on Sunday but you will all be part of a team. Be prepared! Todays work is to complete your Friday Spelling and Maths tests. Tomorrow is the last day for the Art work to be sent in to the teachers organising Art Week. Lots of good examples have been sent in so far. Look forward yo seeing what has been sent in from our class.
Todays other work is on Spelling City and Mathletics. Good morning boys. Great to read some of the positive comments you have been sending in about each other. Some very thoughtful and considerate comments, it's very nice to see. Keep sending them in and work on your memories of Scoil Na Mainistreach over the years, I'm sure there are lots of interesting and memorable stories to tell.

Read through the email and get cracking on some of the ideas. Look forward to seeing some of your creations this week. Email them in and they will go on the website.
I have also given them some work that you will do for the graduation night. We are planning to have an online graduation, similar to the ones organised for Doctors and Nurses who qualified during Covid 19. Starts off easy, but gradually gets harder. No problem to you all though. Spelling City Good morning boys. Hope everyone enjoyed the Bank Holiday Weekend. The weather was fantastic. We had nobody get full marks in our Friday Quiz. David and Calum came close. The question that caught everyone out was Irelands smallest inland county. Carlow is the answer. Everyone answered Louth which is along the coast.
