The highlight of Active Week Day 2 was the 5th class boys visit to St Raphaels Special School in Celbridge. 12 boys from Mr.Mulreids class took part in a PE class organised by the teachers in St Raphaels. They played games, relay races, parachute games among other activities. It was an enjoyable experience for the boys of both schools. The day was made possible by Shelley, the staff and boys of St. Raphaels school.
The rest of Mr. Mulreids class are already looking forward to their visit next week. Special thanks must also go to Ms Fitzsimons, Mr Tyrrell, Ms Browne and Bn Uí Mhuirí for transporting the boys to St. Raphaels when the weather got bad.
Elsewhere on Active Week Day 2 games of Rounders and No Mans land were taking place. Practices for the Uptown Funk dance continued throughout the school while the classes who have been undertaking a running project for the last no. of months continued to add more laps to their records. One lap of the school measures 400m. Classes are counting the laps and recording the distances covered. 4th class are running what they call The LillyWhite Lap and have so far completed a combined total of 860 Km since January.
