On Thursday I went to Kilmainham Jail. In Kilmainham jail there was a museum and a tour. We went to both. First we went to the museum. We saw old clothes, books and sheets from when the jail was in use. After we went on the tour. On the tour the guide told us about all the people that were in Kilmainham Jail. Later the guide brought us to the courtyard where the prisoners would have been shot or prosecuted. After we went to a huge room where all the 96 jail cells were. I went into 13 of them. There are some pictures below. We also saw the proclamation on the wall. In some cells there was a bed and a tiny window. And in others there would only be a candle that would have to last you over 2 weeks!! I had a great time.
