We got to draw the Lotto Numbers for this weeks school lotto today! The numbers drawn were 2, 12, 20 and 21.
Today a partial eclipse of the sun took place over Ireland. For most of the morning it was very cloudy and we could see nothing of the eclipse. The classroom went very dark. We went outside and there was an eerie coldness and calmness. The birds stopped singing. At about 10.10 the clouds began to disappear and the eclipse became visible. Stephen who was outside our classroom noticed a reflection of the eclipse in the classroom window. It was a perfect way to view the eclipse as it is dangerous to look directly at the sun. All the class got to look at it and we were soon joined by other 3rd and 4th classes. Have a look at our slideshow below to see the eclipse in Scoil Na Mainistreach. Preparations are underway for our School Concert. We will be performing a selection of our songs from the Peace Proms. It promises to be a Spooktacular performance!!
